What We Do
Finca El Porvenir is located in the northwestern region of Quito, a unique area known for its rich biodiversity of flora and fauna. This region’s extraordinary attributes have led to its designation as the seventh Biosphere Reserve in Ecuador: the Chocó Andino Reserve.
To support the conservation objectives of this critical area, we preserve much of the native forest on our farm. In our productive zones, we practice sustainable livestock farming, employing methods that conserve natural resources, promote coexistence between wildlife and humans, mitigate climate change, and ensure animal welfare.

Juan Carlos Cabezas
I am Juan Carlos Cabezas, 48 years old, an agricultural engineer passionate about rural life and dairy farming. I am deeply committed to nature conservation, which drives me to seek alternative production systems that achieve balance and protect ecosystems. I am a small-scale dairy producer and plan to venture into aged cheese production in the future, as the milk we produce is of excellent quality.
